Information for Presenters

Who can participate?
The Committee is encouraging presenters from all walks of life. Anyone interested may request to speak before the Committee at one of its public meetings and as many people as possible will be accommodated.

What does a presentation look like?
Presentations should be no more than ten minutes in length. This shorter format is designed to leave to leave time for committee members to pose questions and hear answers from presenters.

PowerPoint or other multimedia aids are not necessary but we may be able to accommodate them if you contact us in advance.

Presenters also have the option of submitting a written version of their presentation to the committee,  or providing the committee with supplemental materials to their presentation.

What will happen to the presentations?
All presentations made at the public sessions will be recorded by the Committee and will become part of the public record. Supplemental materials and written versions of the presentations, if submitted, may also be uploaded this website to be become part of the public record. Our intention is to publicly share all the ideas presented to the Committee by posting them online.

The Committee will use the presentations as a basis for reporting out the BC Legislature. The Committee's first report was published in November, 2015 and is available here.

I want to present, what do I do next?
If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact the Committee.
